Contact and Corrections
Email is the way: hello@beakandbranch.com
There is no contact form and no phone number. One address, read by the people who write the guides, is faster than a ticket queue and means a correction reaches the person who made the mistake.
What to write about
- Corrections. A wrong spec, a discontinued product, a broken link — these get fixed first, usually within days.
- Product suggestions. Make and model plus one line on why it beats what we picked; we research every suggestion that includes a reason.
- Your results. Long-term reports from your own yard — what held up, what rusted, what the squirrels defeated — genuinely improve the guides.
- Species questions. What is emptying the feeder, what will not come to it, what changed when the weather did. These often become guides.
What happens to a correction
Corrections outrank everything else in the inbox. A reported error is checked against the manufacturer's own listing or the original source before anything changes — we do not edit a page on a single report, and we do not quietly delete a claim that turned out to be wrong. If a guide changes materially, the change is noted on the page. The editorial policy sets out how sourcing and updates work, and how we test explains what "tested" currently means here and what it does not.
Response times, honestly
We read everything. Corrections are usually acknowledged within a couple of days and fixed within a week. Short questions usually get an answer in a few days. Longer research questions sometimes get answered by a new guide instead of a reply, which is slower but more useful to everyone who asks the same thing later.
Press, PR and partnerships
Mail that ignores the editorial policy — offers of sponsored posts, paid placement, link insertions, or "just update this one line to mention our brand" — does not get a reply. We do not accept payment for coverage or for a place in a ranking, and no manufacturer sees a guide before it publishes.
Sending a product does not buy a review or a recommendation, and anything we are sent is disclosed on the page it appears on. How affiliate links work, and what we earn from them, is set out in the affiliate disclosure.
